Bevel Helical Gearboxes from STM UK features a very rigid monolithic structure suitable for applications with weighty loads.
Housings and flanges on this STM Bevel Helical Gearbox range are in engineering cast iron GG200 GG250 ISO 185 although size 63 and 71 of the OM – Bevel Helical feature aluminium SG-AISi UNI 1706 housings and flanges.
For further strength, the input shaft is constructed from spring tempered steel 39NiCrMo3 UNI EN 10083 and steel C40 UNI 5332 is used for the output shaft on the OM – Bevel Helical Gearbox range.
Gear construction is of steel 18NiCrMo5 UNI 7846 that has already been casehardened, hardened and formed to aid efficiency and minimise noise even when under pressure.
