The STM SM – Skew Helical Gearbox range offers robust design and endurance. Features include a high efficiency right angle gearbox design that is patented to STM Spa.
With ratios from 8/1 through to 148/1, a selection of mounting positions and capacity of 0.08kw to 4kw, the SM – Skew Helical Gearbox is a practical solution to many applications. This STM gearbox range also accepts IEC flanges and shaft motors.
Perfect for weighty applications, its monolithic structure adds rigidity and strength.
Each SM – Skew Helical Gearbox incorporates two cylindrical helical reduction stages with skew axis.
STM produces housings and flanges from aluminium SG-ALSi UNI 1706 from state of the art CNC centres operating with numerical control to ensure optimum accuracy in construction.
Input shaft – steel 18NiCrMo5 UN EN 7846/ Fe 52 Uni7070
Gears - steel 18NiCrMo5 UNI 7486
A breather plug is enclosed with each gearbox size and before use, must be installed.
STM UK supplies each gearbox with a hollow output shaft. Accessories available include solid output shafts and torque arms – please contact our technical team for more details.
