Energy efficient flow control
The Optidrive HVAC is setting new standards in the control of pumps and fans. The HVAC range retains the ease of use associated with Invertek Drives coupled with an innovative design and robust performance to provide powerful and intelligent flow control whilst maintaining reliability in a compact drive.
Dynamically reduce motor power consumption
The below example is based on a 45kw load and using an estimated factory working week and energy costs and including estimated component and installation costs.
Installing an Optidrive HVAC as oppose to direct on-line control will provide you with an estimated 20% reduction in motor speed resulting in energy savings of up to 50%. All this means that your return on investment could be realised in as little as 8 months, taking into account energy costs for 5 years you could be looking at saving of up to £28,000 or £5600 a year.
Features – Fans
- Can control air handling functions with valves, fans and dampers
- Allows easy skipping of frequencies at which fans create resonance in the ventilation system
- Provides immediate warning of a broken belt by monitoring current vs speed reducing fan downtime
- Fire override mode ignores all signals and alarms keeping the Optidrive HVAC operating for as long as possible
Features – Pumps
- Distributes workload evenly between pumps for maximum productivity
- Sleep mode saves energy by detecting low or no flow and restarting when pressure falls to the lower set point
- Dry pump protection shuts down the drive and sets off an alarm when the pump runs without generating the required pressure
- Maintains vital water supply by lowering flow in the event of a burst pipe or leak
