For optimum durability and reliability any STM gearbox is manufactured using the highest quality materials and modern design techniques.

The STM CRMI Double Worm Gearbox features cast iron G20 UNI 5007 housings on sizes 110, 130, 150 + 180. Any smaller gearbox (28, 40, 50, 63, 70, and 85) uses aluminium SG-AISi UNI 1706.

Worm shafts on the CRMI Double Worm gearbox are constructed from casehardened, hardened and ground steel for strength.

The thread grinding utilises ZI-Profile. This enhances contact between toothed surfaces, boosting performance and minimising operating noise.

This STM gearbox has a wormwheel with a G20 cast iron hub with a casting fitted in GcsSn12 UNI7013 bronze.

It is possible to apply torque limiters to our CRMI Double Worm range.

In addition to standard mounting versions, further configurations are possible.
