The CB – Helical Worm gearbox from STM UK is constructed from materials of the highest quality and manufactured to the highest standards using modern design processes. This brings peace of mind to end users regarding durability and longevity.
Like the STM CRMI Double Worm gearbox, this gearbox range features engineering cast iron G20 UNI 5007 housings. Any smaller gearbox models (40-50) use aluminium SG-AISi UNI 1706.
Robust worm shafts on the CB-Helical Worm Gearboxes are constructed from casehardened, hardened and ground steel.
The thread grinding in the gear ratios is carried out by ZI-Profile. This enhances contact between toothed surfaces, boosting performance and minimising noise when in operation.
The STM CB-Helical Worm wormwheel has a G20 cast iron hub with a wormwheel fitted in GcsSn12 UNI7013 bronze.
Torque limiters may be applied to the CB-Helical Worm range.
